Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Barista at UT HEALTH TYLER. You will deliver exceptional customer service while crafting hand-made beverages and handling sales at the counter. The role requires flexibility for any shift, full-time employment, and physical stamina to stand long hours.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and customer service experience; familiarity with food safety and inventory systems is a plus. Benefits and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide quick, friendly, personalized service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages to spec (coffee, tea, etc.).
• Maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food.
• Educate guests about menu offerings and upsell where appropriate.
• Arrange coffee bar displays and keep areas clean and organized.
• Record sales, operate cash register, and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
