Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) is seeking a Barista to join its on-site cafe team and deliver high-quality beverages with a focus on friendly, efficient service.

You will take orders, craft coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications, operate the cash register, and support a fast, positive guest experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards and inventory control preferred.
• Completion and certification in the Starbucks Barista Basics Training required within 30 days of start date.
• Presents self in a professional manner to others and acts with honesty and integrity.
• Ability to be positive and communicate with co-workers, staff from other departments and customers with professionalism and respect.
• Ability to learn quickly, think on your feet and handle multiple duties.
• Ability to use a computer.
