Job summary

Join our team at Hotel Virginia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Santa Barbara as a Barista. You will craft specialty coffees, serve beverages and limited food, and help maintain a welcoming café environment.

The role involves taking orders, using the POS system, and ensuring clean, stocked workspace. Prior barista or server experience is preferred, with relevant certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Barista or Server experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Unexpired Alcohol Awareness Certification and Food Handlers Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, lattes, and iced drinks (beer and wine potential).
• Prepare and serve limited food items from Brisa Cafe menu.
• Ensure the café area and equipment are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Take orders, operate the POS system, and process payments accurately.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and anticipate their needs.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a seamless and efficient service flow.
• Complete opening and closing duties, ensuring the café is ready for the next shift.
• Adhere to all food handling and safety procedures.
• Check and restock inventory daily and document maintenance needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hourly pay: $17 - $18

Your Role

As a Barista, you are not just serving beverages—you’re creating experiences. Each cup of coffee, latte, or iced drink you prepare helps shape the guest’s story, offering comfort, joy, and connection. Some of your duties include:
