Job summary

Highball Social Club is seeking energetic baristas to join our opening team in a fast-paced coffee-focused setting. You will craft espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks while ensuring guest satisfaction and accurate preparation.

We value a friendly personality, attention to detail, and reliability for early shifts and weekends. Training provided; prior cafe experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a coffee shop or restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Passion for coffee and beverages, with attention to quality.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to standard recipes.

• Operate espresso machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, stocked beverage station and assist with stock/timing.

We're creating a fun, social atmosphere where great drinks, quality ingredients, and exceptional hospitality come together. If you love coffee, enjoy connecting with people, and take pride in crafting delicious beverages, we want you on our team!

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, lattes, cappuccinos, teas, and other specialty beverages according to recipes and quality standards.
• Create a welcoming experience for every guest through friendly, attentive service.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of our beverage menu, ingredients, customizations, and daily specials.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare ingredients, syrups, garnishes, and other beverage components for daily service.
• Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, temperature, and portioning.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee and beverage station.
• Clean and maintain equipment, including espresso machines, steam wands, and grinders.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous barista, coffee shop, or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Passion for coffee, specialty beverages, and customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable learning recipes, operating beverage equipment, and using POS systems.
