Job summary

The Lake Nona Wave Hotel in Orlando is seeking a Barista to craft high-quality coffee and espresso beverages and deliver outstanding guest service. You will greet guests, take orders, serve beverages and food, and contribute to memorable experiences with friendly interactions and coffee expertise.

Responsibilities include operating espresso machines, maintaining a clean workspace, handling POS transactions, and upselling menu items while supporting events and team training.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience preferred, but not required—training will be provided.
• Passion for coffee and customer service with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, milk steaming, and latte art is a plus.
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays based on resort operations

• Accurately process transactions using the POS system and handle cash and credit card payments.
• Promote and upsell Lava Love’s menu items, including seasonal beverages, pastries, and merchandise.
• Assist in training new team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Support resort-wide events and initiatives, providing coffee and beverage service as needed.

The Barista is responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and espresso beverages while delivering outstanding customer service. You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. Working Environment/Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit 6-8 hours per day and may have exposure to basic cleaning supply chemicals.
• The team member is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, they will frequently be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (rain, wind, heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
