Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group's Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Barista to join our vibrant coffee shop team. Deliver exceptional service, craft espresso beverages, and provide warmly personalized guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

You will engage with guests, propose beverage options, maintain equipment and a clean station, and uphold health standards while learning new recipes. Weekend availability is expected for this role.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience preferred.
• Knowledge of brewing techniques and equipment.
• Familiarity with various beans and blends helpful.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to keep a clean, organized work area.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques.
• Prior cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee beverages such as espressos, lattes, cappuccinos.
• Engage with customers, taking orders, and providing recommendations.
• Create latte art and ensure drinks are presented nicely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure quality and freshness of coffee products.
• Upsell pastries, snacks, or merchandise.
