Job summary

Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort invites a friendly Barista to join our beachfront coffee shop. You will craft espresso-based drinks, engage guests, and ensure fast, attentive service in a vibrant resort setting.

We're looking for prior barista experience, knowledge of brewing techniques, and a passion for great customer care. The role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate weekends and holidays at the resort in Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
• Familiarity with various coffee beans and blends helpful
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques
• Prior cash handling experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee beverages including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos and more
• Engage with customers, taking orders and making recommendations
• Create latte art and ensure drinks are well presented
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and operate coffee equipment
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure product quality
• Upsell pastries, snacks or merchandise
• Handle cash transactions accurately at the register
• Provide friendly, efficient service to ensure guests feel welcome
