Stonebridge in New Orleans, LA is looking for a Barista who delivers exceptional customer service while preparing coffee beverages with consistency. You will master espresso drinks and brewed coffee, and maintain a clean, organized station to enhance the guest experience.

The role requires handling orders, cash transactions via POS, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting. Prior barista experience is preferred, with flexibility for mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving coffee beverages with a focus on quality and consistency. This role includes mastering various coffee brewing techniques and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to enhance the guest experience.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Prepare and serve coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and tea, according to established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and answering questions about the menu.
• Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, replenishing as needed.
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Follow food safety guidelines for the handling and preparation of ingredients.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies.
• Ensure a pleasant and welcoming environment for guests by maintaining the coffee area's appearance.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills

Work Environment

Primarily an indoor environment with frequent standing and walking required throughout the shift.

Exposure to coffee machines, grinders, and other hot beverage equipment.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks, such as brewing, cleaning, and stocking.

Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
