Job summary

Kiln Lehi is seeking a friendly, community-minded barista to welcome members and turn a workspace into a gathering place. You’ll learn names, make great coffee, and help run morning hours through afternoon shifts.

Part-time role Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–1:30 PM with occasional event-based hours. Prior espresso experience and a food handler's permit are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year espresso experience with milk steaming and latte art.
• Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in hospitality, events, or community roles.

Responsibilities

• Greet every member and guest warmly, and learn their names and usual orders
• Prepare espresso drinks, drip coffee, tea, and other café items to a consistent, high standard
• Dial in espresso daily and keep equipment clean and well maintained
• Spark conversations and introduce members to each other
• Support community events, from morning coffee hours to evening socials
• Keep the café clean, stocked, and inviting
• Share member feedback and ideas with the Community team

About the Role:

Kiln is looking for a barista who will be the heart of our space at Kiln Lehi. You'll make great coffee, but your bigger job is making every member feel at home. You'll learn names and orders, start conversations, and help turn a workplace into a community. This is a part-time role, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Some flexibility is required, as hours may vary depending on scheduled events.
