Job summary

Westfield Insurance in Westfield Center, OH is hiring a Part-Time Barista for our corporate dining facility, with daytime shifts and no nights or weekends.

You will handcraft beverages in our Starbucks-branded cafe, greet guests, and assist as a cashier during peak hours while maintaining a fast-paced, friendly environment. Prior barista experience and SERV Safe certification are required.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, and stand for long periods.
• Reading, writing, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and maintain your station throughout the day.
• Greet guests and determine their coffee interests.
• Explain the coffee menu and answer questions.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and pastries.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment and handle payments.
• Train new team members and cross-train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and ordering as needed.
• Clean and maintain all equipment.

• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills

• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments
• Complete weekly inventory and order list
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
