• Stocks coolers and temperatures, checks freezers/refrigerators/heating equipment.

Job Summary: A Barista Employee creates a welcoming environment for customers by preparing quality beverages and food items, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Baristas work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service while upholding company standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves cold and hot beverages, such as sodas, coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.
• Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stocks supplies or retail products; may be asked to assist in daily inventory, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• Must be able to obtain (BIA) food handlers’ card within 2 weeks of employment with receipt for reimbursement from the Company

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be available to work variable shifts: early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, crouch and bend throughout shift for 8.5 hours a day
