Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality in Brighton, MA invites applications for a Barista who will manage checkout, cash handling, and educate customers while preparing a range of coffee beverages and snacks. This full-time position supports the dining and hospitality services across our client locations.

The Barista will replenish snacks, maintain clean kiosks, and work closely with the Chef Manager to ensure exceptional customer service and beverage quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Previous experience in food service/Barista environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team Player.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and thank customers.
• Operate the POS system and process payments.
• Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, espresso drinks, coffees, teas.
• Replenish snacks and stock coolers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly checkout and coffee kiosk area.
• Assist customers by providing information and take direction from Chef Manager.

Hourly Pay Rate: $23.00-$25.00/ hr

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for assisting customers during the check-out process managing cash and credit payments as well as educating customers while selling and grinding coffee and preparing and serving a variety of items. In addition, the Barista will be responsible for replenishing snacks and coolers and keeping the area clean.

Essential Functions And Key Tasks

• Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
• Operation of point of sale system; Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
• Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas
• Replenish snacks and stock coolers as needed
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout and coffee kiosk areas and complete other general cleaning duties
• Assist customers by providing information
• Work with and take direction from the Chef Manager
