Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Morenci location seeks a Coffee Shop staff member to manage equipment and deliver strong customer service within the Recreation Center. The role requires staying current on safety certifications and developing marketing ideas for the coffee program.

Responsibilities include budget monitoring, inventory control, and assisting with reports. On-site work with a housing allowance option is described in the benefits.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Arizona Food Handlers' Card/Certification within one month of employment
• Knowledge of and ability to apply marketing practices
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Ability to maintain positive community and working relationships
• Competency in the use of MS Office Software

Where You Will Work

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, the Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, a crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low‑grade run‑of‑mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to maintain positive community and working relationships

Preferred

• High School diploma or GED
• State issued Driver's License
• Experience as a Barista or any food and beverage services

Criteria/Conditions

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
• Work is mostly performed in an indoor setting
• Occasionally work may be performed in a plant or outdoor setting
• Personal protective equipment including climbing harness, climbing helmet, gloves, safety glasses and/or other protective equipment is to be worn as required

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $16.50 - $21.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
