Job summary

Trinity Health of New England is hiring a part-time Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutritional care in a bariatrics specialty practice. You will assess, design, implement, and monitor nutrition plans tailored to age-specific needs and work closely with physicians, staff, patients, and families.

The role requires a registered dietitian with state licensure and at least 1 year of experience in healthcare, strong communication skills, and knowledge of nutrition guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and state licensure as a licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) are required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a dietitian, preferably in healthcare.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including explaining clinical concepts to physicians, staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Performing nutrition assessments per Nutrition Practice Guidelines.
• Developing and implementing patient-specific nutritional care plans and goals.
• Monitoring and evaluating patients' responses to nutrition interventions.
• Assessing need for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) instruction.
• Providing MNT instruction to patients on modified diets when appropriate.
• Assists in management of nutrition support (EN/PN) per guidelines.
