Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown Kentucky Bariatrics Institute, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition assessment, education and counseling for bariatric surgery, medical weight loss and select general surgery patients. Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to evidence-based nutrition and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in Kentucky required.
• Experience in bariatric, weight management, or clinical nutrition preferred.
• Strong communication, counseling, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative nutrition education and counseling for bariatric surgery patients.
• Deliver nutrition counseling and support for medical weight loss and select general surgery patients.
• Facilitate nutrition education in both individual and group settings, including in-person and virtual appointments.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition recommendations to support treatment goals.
• Document patient encounters and care plans accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Promote whole-food nutrition and healthy eating behaviors for long-term weight management.
