Compass Group USA's Morrison Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Bariatric Dietitian. The role delivers Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients, with outpatient focus and inpatient post-op education, on a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating holidays.

Required RD credential; CSOWM preferred with a plan to obtain within 1 year if not already held. Salary ranges from $84,000 to $101,000 plus robust benefits and meal and stipend perks.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for outpatients and inpatients in a designated service line.
• Educate post-op patients and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Develop individualized care plans and support nutrition education initiatives.
• Stay current with evidence-based guidelines and apply them to patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and quality improvement activities.
• Mentor and support dietetic interns or junior staff when applicable.

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do:

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Specialty certification when required
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred
