Job summary

Compass Group Morrison Healthcare at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our Bariatric Surgery team. This hybrid role covers pre- and post-surgery nutrition, working with surgeons, NP, nurses, and psychologists, in a busy 675-bed system.

The position offers 20-24 hours per week with opportunities for professional growth, leadership experiences, and ongoing education through our nutrition team.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible.
• Licensed Dietitian in state of practice or willing to obtain.
• Healthcare experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgery nutrition counseling for bariatric patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, NP, nurses, and psychologists on care plans.
• Contribute to quality improvement and research projects in bariatric nutrition.
