Blessey Marine is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Liberty, TX to support the Barge Maintenance Department and Director/Office Manager. The role focuses on clerical tasks, PO processing, and data entry using Word, Excel, SAP, and TowWorks.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of clerical experience, strong English communication, and a high level of accuracy, with the ability to manage deadlines and confidentiality in a fast-paced maritime environment.
Blessey Marine owns and operates one of the youngest multi-faceted inland tank barge and towing vessel fleets in the United States. Servicing all major petroleum and petro-chemical companies. We are in search of an Administrative Assistantfor our Barge Maintenance Department.
Position is located at our Liberty, TX location.
Provideadministrative and clerical support to the Barge Maintenance Department with afocus on support to the Director and Office Manager by performing the followingduties:
Reports to: Barge Maintenance Office Manager
Supervises: This position has nosupervisory responsibilities
Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professionaljournals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, businesscorrespondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Abilityto apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions topractical situations.
Abilityto define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions inmathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concretevariables.
