Position Purpose:

To serve and prepare beverages and/or food to the guests and other servers in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Functions:
  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, takes food and beverage orders, and serves the order promptly. Inputs orders into the MICROS Point of Sale System.
  • Maintains proper setup of the bar daily, including stocking beer, wine, spirits, mixers, paper products, and condiments based on projected business.
  • Serves guests efficiently, ensuring timely server order fulfillment.
  • Retrieves and checks the accuracy of orders from the storeroom.
  • Prepares fruit garnishes according to projected business needs.
  • Performs end-of-shift paperwork and cash handling procedures.
  • Secures beverage storage areas and maintains cleanliness of the bar area, including equipment.
Supportive Functions:

Performs additional duties as assigned by management, including side work, cleaning, and adhering to liquor regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control.
  • Proficiency in English for communication and menu understanding.
  • Ability to learn MICROS POS system.
  • Physical ability to stand, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in various conditions.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity for garnishing, handling glassware, and stocking.
  • Ability to recall and promote menu items and resolve guest conflicts effectively.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience: Prior bartending experience preferred.

Licenses: Ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications.

Grooming: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
