Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking part-time Barbering Instructors to join our college. Opportunities currently exist at Savannah and Liberty Campus locations.

Instructors will teach the state approved Barbering curriculum, foster effective learning in classroom and lab, evaluate progress, and assist with placement of graduates. A Georgia Master Barber license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Active Georgia Master Barber license in good standing.
• Three years full-time, paid work experience within the past seven years.
• Barber Instructor License or teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the state approved Barbering curriculum to enrolled students in classroom and lab.
• Foster effective learning and ensure student outcomes are attained.
• Evaluate students’ progress and properly record results.
• Assist with placement of program graduates and maintain industry relations.
• Maintain safety and documentation in classroom and lab.
