Job summary

Lucky Spot Barbershop in Gastonia is expanding and seeks talented barbers to join the team. A current barber license and completed training are required.

The role focuses on men’s hairstyles and delivering excellent customer service in a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include greeting clients, preparing them for their cut, performing styling, engaging in conversation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring product availability for future clients.

Qualifications

• Must have a current barber license and completed barber training program.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable with a variety of hairstyling techniques for different customers.
• Behind the chair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients as they arrive and offer refreshments.

Lucky Spot Barbershop is growing and expanding our Gastonia location. We are looking for talented barbers to join our team!!

You must have a current license to cut hair and have completed a barber training program. While we focus on men’s hairstyles, you should be comfortable using a variety of hairstyling techniques for different customers. You must have strong communication and customer service skills; we want all of our customers to enjoy being in our barbershop and leave satisfied with their cut so that they become regular customers.

Barber Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet clients as they arrive and offer them refreshments.
• Prep clients for their haircut and ask what type of styling they want.
• Cut and style clients’ hair to their specifications.
• Engage in friendly conversation with clients.
• Keep your station, tools, and equipment sanitized and in good condition.
• Ensure you have the proper products in stock for future clients.

Barber Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Barber/hairstylist license with "behind the chair" experience.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and time-management abilities
• Attention to detail.
