Job summary

Hyatt Regency Greenwich is seeking a Barback, part-time, on-site role in Old Greenwich, CT. You will assist bartenders and servers, restock bar supplies, maintain cleanliness, and ensure guest satisfaction with efficient service.

The position requires physical stamina, good communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Hotel experience is preferred, and you will be part of a team that values safety, efficiency, and guest care.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts and understand portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife, glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs and stock items.
• Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions to enable safe application of products.
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or push goods up to 150 lbs., with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and maintain safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartender and servers in serving guests to ensure a positive experience.
• Retrieve orders from storeroom and verify against requisition.
• Cut, slice and peel garnishes, mix and pour juices per projected business.
• Check and maintain supplies for bar and service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, lockers, refrigeration and storage.
• Scoop ice, transport to service areas and replenish containers.
• Box and save empty liquor bottles for returns and requisitions.
• Transport taps, replace kegs, and perform routine maintenance.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Flexible schedule required; AM/PM/Weekend/Holiday availability.

No**Overview**Assist Bartender and Servers in the serving of guests to ensure positive guest experience.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Retrieves orders from storeroom. Visually checks stock received against written requisition with storeroom personnel, to ensure order is accurate. Upon delivery to the bar, re-checks items with bartender for completeness.* Cuts, slices and peels perishable garnishes and fruits, mixes and pours juices in sufficient amounts according to projected business.
