Job summary

LOCAL Public Eatery in The Woodlands is seeking a Barback to support the bar team with proactive, friendly service. You’ll stay one step ahead of the bartenders to maintain a smooth flow and elevate the guest experience.

You’ll handle duties from bussing and glassware, stocking and prepping bar ingredients, to tapping kegs and keeping the bar top clean. This role rewards teamwork, agility, and a love of hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to connect with others and work well in a team.
• Must have or be able to obtain local/state Food Handler and Alcohol Server permits.
• Be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

As a Barback at LOCAL Public Eatery, you are an essential part of the bar team’s success. Your role is to support the bartenders by staying one step ahead—anticipating their needs to maintain a seamless and efficient service flow. You are proactive, constantly on the move, and always looking for new ways to elevate your craft. With a passion for hospitality and a strong team mindset, you help create an unforgettable, fun, and friendly experience for every guest.

Duties

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Exude professionalism, friendliness and fun towards guests and partners alike.
• Assist bartenders in delivering exceptional service and a pristine environment.
• Clear and reset bar top to the standard expectations.
• Monitor and assist with the delivery of guest beverages.
• Polish glassware
• Prep bar ingredients and juices.
• Tap kegs
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant by bussing bar top of glassware, dishes, and cutlery.
• Complete assigned side work and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize bar area and sections. Re-stock bar throughout service.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.
