The Charter Hotel's Fog Room is an elevated rooftop lounge offering sophisticated cocktails, curated small plates, and sweeping views of downtown Seattle. As a Barback, you will be an essential part of our bar team, ensuring seamless bar operations and an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced, high-end environment.


What you will be doing:



  • Support bartenders by stocking, organizing, and replenishing bar inventory (liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and tools).


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and surrounding areas, including clearing glassware and restocking throughout service.


  • Prepare garnishes, juices, and other bar prep items according to recipe and safety standards.


  • Remove trash, clean spills, and keep the bar area sanitary and presentable at all times.


  • Assist with receiving and properly storing bar deliveries.


  • Monitor and communicate supply levels to ensure the bar remains fully stocked during shifts.


  • Collaborate with bartenders, servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow.


  • Uphold all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.


  • Provide quick, efficient, and discreet service in a high-volume rooftop lounge environment.


Requirements:


  • Prior experience in a high-volume or upscale bar/hospitality setting preferred.


  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.


  • Knowledge of basic bar tools and cocktail components a plus.


  • Must have or obtain required food handler and alcohol service certifications (e.g., MAST permit).


  • Must be at least 21 years of age.


Schedule:
Evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Must be available for late-night shifts, as the Fog Room operates into the evening.
