Job summary

Village Tavern is hiring a Barback in Raleigh, NC to support our bartenders and help keep the bar stocked, clean, and running smoothly. This is a tipped position with an average income of $18-$20/hour.

As a Barback, you’ll anticipate bartenders’ needs, greet guests, assist with bar prep, change kegs, and refill ice wells to ensure a memorable guest experience. Restaurant experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train someone with a great attitude.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• US work authorization (Required)
• High energy and enthusiasm
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-first, can-do attitude
• Attention to detail
• Basic Math Skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds
• Restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train someone with a great attitude and willingness to work hard.

Responsibilities

• Keep bar stocked with all necessary items before and during service
• Keep bar neat and clean, including wiping up spills and clearing and cleaning glassware and plateware
• Help the bar team create a memorable experience for every guest
