Barback - Conrad Los Angeles (
Be a part of the newest luxury hotel in downtown LA, Conrad Los Angeles ! As part of the billion-dollar project, The Grand LA , this is the 7th Conrad Hotel in the U.S. and the 1st in California.
Located in Downtown LA’s cultural corridor, Conrad Los Angeles is the city’s newest luxury destination, featuring over 300 rooms, a world-class spa, a 16,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and three dynamic dining experiences—including our signature restaurant, San Laurel, all in partnership with Chef Jose Andres' award-winning restaurant group, JoseAndresFoodGroup.
In this role as a Barback, you will be responsible for the initial preparation and servicing of all permanent and portable bars operating within the hotel.
The ideal candidate will have barback experience preferred. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge in preparation and service of alcoholic beverages. Basic mathematical skills are necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts and understand portion sizes. Sufficient manual dexterity of hands in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs and extend arms overhead to stock items. Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient for the employee to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions. Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel. Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to perform duties within temperature ranges, from normal to refrigerated. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 75 lbs through a crowded room. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking and standing with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire if applicable to the position you are applying for.

The hourly rate is $21.25 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
