Job Description: Barback
The Barback shall procure and stock alcoholic and nonalcoholic products as well as other consumables related to the distribution of food and beverages to guests throughout the gaming facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stock and rotate (First In-First Out) all products and supplies (glassware, ice, garnish, etc.) necessary for the bar operation.
- Prepare inventory orders based on par levels and guidance from the bartender and supervisor.
- Dispose of liquor bottles following established procedures.
- Ensure a signature is received for all consumable products delivered to the bar.
- Continuously clean the bar areas, especially the bar top, as you move around the bar.
- Remove any dirty glassware, loose napkins, paper debris, and trash immediately.
- Sweep and mop bars and associated areas each shift or as needed to maintain cleanliness.
- Check the chemical levels of the glass washers and availability of cleaning supplies for manual wash sinks.
- Monitor the temperature of refrigeration equipment and ice machines, and inform a supervisor immediately if an abnormal situation occurs.
- Keep dump sinks clean and treated with sanitizing solution; keep floors mopped and free of dirt and sticky surfaces; sanitize the ice bin when contaminated.
- Tap and replace kegs and restock the bar gun system as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying.
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled with successful completion within six (6) months from start date.
- Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to maneuver large bulk items (e.g., kegs of beer) to assigned areas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Successful completion of a job interview, including a guest service audition.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and ability to understand instructions in various formats.
- Completion of Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET training.
- Completion of ServeSafe Sanitation training.
- Willingness to work odd or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel and participate in training as required.
- Possession or ability to obtain and maintain an Occupational License under the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Pay:
- Pay range: $15.00 - $18.75, depending on experience and skillset.
