Location: Rooftop of Hotel Erwin, Venice, CA

Wage: $20.32/hour + tips

About The Restaurant

Overlooking the iconic Venice Beach boardwalk, our new rooftop destination brings together panoramic views, a sun-soaked vibe, and Mediterranean-inspired hospitality. Operated by the Wish You Were Here Group, the venue offers a dynamic, music-driven atmosphere and coastal flavors, making it one of the most exciting new hospitality openings on the Westside.

About The Role

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Barback to join our opening team. As a barback, you’ll play a crucial support role behind the bar—keeping service seamless by ensuring our bartenders are fully stocked, prepped, and ready to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You’ll Do

• Restock and organize liquor, mixers, glassware, and garnishes throughout service
• Support bartenders with setup, breakdown, and bar maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area at all times
• Monitor and communicate supply levels and assist with back-of-house organization
• Assist with clearing, trash disposal, and recycling according to safety procedures
• Occasionally assist with food or drink delivery to guests when needed
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and Department of Health guidelines
• Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions
• Work closely with the bar and floor teams to ensure efficient and smooth service
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barback or hospitality experience in a fast-paced, high-volume venue preferred
• Basic knowledge of bar operations and beverage service
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in tight, dynamic environments
• Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-first attitude
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate or willingness to obtain upon hire
