Luminary Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic Prep/Bar Back to support bartenders and staff in delivering exceptional guest service at our Fort Myers property. You will help maintain a well-stocked, clean bar and assist with opening/closing procedures while providing menu knowledge to guests.

We value teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Prior hospitality and bar experience are preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• At least 1 year experience in a restaurant or bar setting.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor.
• Customer service experience expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working on a hospitality team.
• Able to use technology (computers/tablets/POS).
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Sense of ownership in all tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Provide service to bartenders in a timely manner.

• Ensure proper stocking and rotation of beer, liquor, wine, and consumables.
• Clean glasses, utensils, tools, and bar equipment.
• Run food from kitchen to bar and bar area for timely delivery.
• Provide guests with menu knowledge (ingredients, prep, prices).
• Maintain opening/closing par levels for beer, wine, liquor, and consumables.
• Assist in receiving/unloading bar items; ensure proper stocking.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar, cooler, and storage area.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

The Prep/Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Luminary Hotel service standards and Mainsail Lodging & Development standards. The Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean, and well-stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required, but the focus will be on the support staff position.

What you have

• High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
• Previous hospitality experience
• Minimum 1-year experience working in a restaurant or bar setting
• Knowledge and experience with beer, wine, and liquor
• Customer service experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience working on a team in a hospitality setting
• Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, iPads, and POS
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• A sense of ownership in everything that you do

• Maintain a clean and organized bar, cooler, and bar storage area
• Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned by the manager
