Job summary

Pettibone is hiring a Product Manager to join their Sales Team in Baraga, Michigan. This hands-on role drives the strategy, development, performance, and growth of our equipment products, becoming a go-to market expert for assigned lines.

You’ll collaborate with customers and our Sales, Engineering, and Marketing teams to understand market needs, identify opportunities, and prioritize next steps. This role is hands-on and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment products and manufacturing/assembly processes.
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-informed decisions.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate product direction clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience or certification is a plus.
• Proactive, self-directed, ownership mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, domestic and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and manage roadmaps.
• Learn how customers use our equipment and identify improvements.
• Gather customer/market feedback and translate into requirements and priorities.
• Research competitors, market size, pricing, trends, and opportunities.
• Determine features and projects with greatest value.
• Develop market/product requirements for new/improved products.
• Recommend pricing, revenue forecasts, and budgets to support goals.
• Lead cross-functional development projects from need to execution.
• Monitor product performance, health, and profitability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to align priorities.
• Support key customer and strategic sales with product expertise.
• Be the voice of the customer in planning and development.
