Overview

Provide friendly, efficient service to bar guests. Possess a depth of beverage knowledge including alcohol, mixology, and recipes. Able to recommend drinks, pairings, and respond to guest preferences. Responsible for bar setup, mixing, serving drinks, and cleaning the bar area. Capable of taking guest orders and processing checks. Comply with all state, city liquor laws, and company alcohol policies.

Responsibilities

Associate Responsibilities specific for this role and Department:

  1. Set up assigned station according to outlet standards, specifications, and inventories.
  2. Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers, following established guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage safety controls.
  3. Greet, interact, and engage with guests professionally, exceeding expectations at all times.
  4. Complete daily assignments and checklists as assigned.
  5. Assist other bartenders and servers as needed to ensure teamwork and efficient service.
  6. Maintain cleanliness standards in front and back of house to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  7. Manage time and section productivity based on business volume.
  8. Ring guest checks; handle cash, credits, and room charges following company policies.
  9. Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
  10. Know and comply with applicable liquor laws.
Qualifications
  • Able to read, write, and speak basic English.
  • Ability to understand and apply basic multi-tasking skills for a cohesive work environment.
  • Apply common sense to carry out simple instructions; handle standardized situations with minimal variation.
  • Capable of pushing, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting items up to 150 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, for extended periods.
  • Ability to add, multiply, and count money accurately.
  • General Duties: Comply with all company policies, attend mandatory meetings and training, and stay informed of company updates.
Education
  • High school diploma preferred.
Experience
  • At least three years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Skills
  • Ability to prepare drinks according to standard recipes.
  • High level of wine knowledge.
