Job summary

Willie's Grill & Ice House in Conroe, Texas is seeking a Bar Service (Counter) Team Member to join a lively, family-friendly team. You will provide friendly counter service, knowledge of the menu and drinks, and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 2 years of related experience, a valid Alcohol Certification and Food Handler's Certificate, and strong communication and math skills to handle orders and payments accurately.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Alcohol Certification and Food Handler's Certificate required.
• Strong verbal communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and handle money accurately.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Positive, cooperative attitude with excellent guest service focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, timely, and courteous service to guests at the counter and throughout the restaurant.
• Know the menu, wines, beers, and cocktails to make helpful recommendations.
• Follow company policies, including sanitation, dress code, and service guidelines.
• Take and deliver beverage orders accurately, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Assist fellow team members to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and perform side work as required.
• Adhere to alcohol awareness procedures and promptly notify management of any concerns.
• Welcome and thank guests warmly, inviting them to return.
