Position Summary

As a Barback, you will support the Bartender team. Barbacks ensure bartenders have the supplies they need to provide service to customers. A Barback has many responsibilities that include stocking, restocking and keeping their work area clean.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $12.80, plus tips.

For FT roles: Benefits include Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

About the Venue

Peak is a premium restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, in a State-of-the-Art building with panoramic views and situated above Edge, the highest outdoor observation deck in the city. A luxurious destination with breath-taking views of lower New York City.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean glassware, etc.
  • Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
  • Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly.
  • Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Learning about menu items and cocktail recipes.
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Experience as a barback preferred.
  • Minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible and punctual.
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
