Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $15.00/hr

Position Summary

The Bar-Back/Runner is responsible for backing up the bartender and other event staff by restocking products to ensure the bartenders and other event staff stay fully stocked during events while ensuring all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing are followed. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.00.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cleanliness and organization of all bar storage areas.
  • Assist in party setup of bars.
  • Assist in bar inventories as requested by management.
  • Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests. Assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager.
  • Follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control, while maximizing the guest experience.
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for stocking bars with all garnishes, glassware, straws, and napkins.
  • Maintain all bottle and keg beer pars during and after shifts. Maintain requisition sheets.
  • Ensure bar areas remain clean.
  • Empty trash and spot sweep whenever floor needs it, or when a manager requests.
  • Restock and prepare supplies for shift change and/or close.
  • Perform opening/closing responsibilities, including party breakdown/duties.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 18 or over.
  • Three or more months' experience in food service industry preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, respectful, and professional manner to foster a positive work environment.
