Job summary

The Adolphus, a historic Dallas hotel, hosts City Hall Bistro, where a Bar Back keeps glassware spotless, stock and organize the bar, and coordinates with bartenders to maintain smooth service. You will support a premium beverage program and learn the brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring bar or hospitality experience, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to troubleshoot equipment while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a bar or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
• A proactive, detailed demeanor that takes pride in staying ahead of the action.

Responsibilities

• Keep eyes on the critical six at all times: ice, juice, syrups and mixers, spirits, glassware, and bar top cleanliness.
• Anticipate which items need restocking during a shift, acting before anything runs out.
• Understand bar equipment and troubleshoot problems on the fly, from low CO2 in tap lines to dishwasher cycling and changing beer keys.
• Maintain cleanliness from every angle: the guest-facing bar top, the back bar where spirits and supplies live, waste bins, and floors.
• Develop thorough knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings, along with a supporting understanding of the brand vision and quality standards.
