Base pay range

$14.50/hr - $14.50/hr

Position Summary

The Bar Back is responsible for backing up the bartender by restocking products to ensure the bartenders stay fully stocked during events while ensuring all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing are followed. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.50 to $16.00, plus tips.

About The Venue

The Enmarket Arena is a 9,500-seat arena with luxury suites, club seating, and first-rate food and beverage. The arena hosts national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, and more. It also features a tenant ECHL hockey team, the Savannah Ghost Pirates, and hosts various sporting events.

Responsibilities

• Stocking products for the bar, including beverages, ice, and supplies; moving kegs and tapping kegs; drafting beer and pouring wine; running supplies to bartenders.
• Ensuring equipment is operable and clean before events.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas, including sanitation and trash management.
• Recognizing and addressing visibly intoxicated guests.
• Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Demonstrating excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required.
• Basic math skills related to inventory.
• English proficiency.
• Experience in high-volume bar settings preferred.
