Job Description

The Barback is responsible for maintaining inventory, transporting, stocking, and cleaning products. They support bartenders and staff by assisting with opening and closing duties, transporting stock, and aiding in reordering to meet business and guest needs. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware.
  2. Deliver products and use transfer sheets to maintain inventory accuracy.
  3. Clean, sanitize, and maintain the appearance of workstations and guest areas.
  4. Ensure the bar is stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
  5. Check taps and appliances, change kegs as needed.
  6. Maintain cleanliness by wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash.
  7. Provide excellent guest service with a positive attitude.
  8. Follow safety policies, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
  9. Secure company assets.
  10. Note: Job duties may evolve or change without notice to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • Previous food service experience preferred.
  • Excellent guest service skills and ability to prioritize tasks quickly.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk constantly, lift, bend, push, and pull as required.
Education

Relevant educational background as required by the role.
