Job summary

Madero Cantina in Fullerton is seeking a Barback to join our fast-paced restaurant and bar team. You will restock supplies, set up the bar for opening, and support bartenders throughout service.

This role requires reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to multitask. Applicants should be 21+, authorized to work in the U.S., and prepared to obtain ABC RBS and California Food Handler certifications. Compensation is $16.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; 21+ years old.
• ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler certification.
• Restaurant or bar experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Restock liquor, beer, juices, and bar supplies; keep liquor rooms and beer coolers clean, organized, and stocked.
• Complete opening duties to ensure the bar is fully set up and ready for service.
• Complete side work and closing duties, including cleaning the bar area and restocking glassware for the next shift.
• Support bartenders by keeping wells stocked, ensuring kegs are connected and functioning, and replenishing supplies during service.
• Change kegs and assist with inventory organization as needed.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness per Health Department guidelines.
