JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Bar Apprentice is to provide excellent service to all guests who approach the bar, keep the bar area clean and stocked at all times, and assist the Bartender with various duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must be willing and able to appear on television or be filmed while performing job functions.
• Interact professionally with high-profile guests and celebrities.
• Greet and welcome all guests in a pleasant manner.
• Be a brand advocate by providing accurate information about venues, menus, and pricing.
• Clean the bar area, including tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, and appliances.
• Greet and converse with customers at the bar.
• Prepare and pour drinks for customers and cocktail servers with a Union Pour Card.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and provide receipts.
• Convert cash to coins for slot machine players.
• Follow cash handling policies, avoiding working out of another person's cash drawer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 6 months prior Bartender or Bar Apprentice experience.
• At least 1 year of previous money handling experience.
• Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to accurately count money and provide change.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Fast-paced, high-volume environment involving standing, walking, and lifting 15-20 lbs repeatedly. Tolerance for secondary tobacco smoke. Shifts vary based on business needs.
