Job summary

St-Joseph-Parish in Orlando seeks a Faith Formation Coordinator (Baptism and Marriage Preparation) to oversee sacramental programs and related liturgical celebrations. You will prepare individuals and families, coordinate materials, and ensure proper records in line with diocesan standards.

You will collaborate with parish staff, clergy, and volunteers to support pastoral care and faith formation while maintaining compliance with Safe Environment policies and diocesan guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Catechetics, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of parish ministry experience.
• Must have or be in the process of obtaining diocesan catechetical certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Catholic doctrine, sacramental theology, and liturgical practices.
• Ability to coordinate multiple programs, schedules, and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate baptismal preparation programs with the Pastor.
• Recruit, train, and support baptismal volunteers.
• Meet with families to guide sacramental preparation.
• Facilitate preparation sessions and ensure materials are available.
• Coordinate baptismal liturgies and records.
• Coordinate marriage preparation programs and FOCCUS.
• Meet with engaged couples to provide guidance.
• Support clergy in addressing pastoral needs of couples.
• Coordinate preparation processes and ensure records are maintained.
• Collaborate with parish staff to align with faith formation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Environment policies.
• Participate in parish/diocesan meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
