Job summary

Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, FL is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to support banquet and catering operations. You will prepare function rooms, serve guests, garnish dishes, and ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working nights, weekends and holidays. A high school diploma or GED and 0–3 months of related experience are accepted; 18+ to serve liquor may be required.

• Other duties as assigned; work in other hotel areas as needed

SUMMARY

Serves meals to patrons for banquet and catering functions insuring guest satisfaction by performing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare function room for banquet function; set tables and place settings
• Serve drink of choice to guests
• Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
• Suggest desserts, beverages and after dinner drinks
• Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee and perform other services as needed
• Clear and reset tables at conclusion of each course
• Adhere to Trump International Beach Resort Standards
• Adhere to all Safety and Sanitation Standards
• May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be 18 years of age to serve liquor in the State of Florida.
