Qualifications

Responsibilities
- The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the set-up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting and event spaces
- Ensures the correct and timely set up of all Banquet Event Order functions
- Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space and storage areas to include the carpet, walls, walks, doors, windows, etc.
- Ensures that all banquet areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Vacuums, sweeps, mops, polishes, and wipes areas clean before during and after events.
- Breakdown after the completion of functions and ensures that all equipment and supplies are stored properly
- Transport and store tables, chairs, and other equipment
- The ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules
- This role requires operating a golf cart as well as a manual work truck
- This position has varying shifts including late nights, early mornings and weekends
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Key Responsibilities
- Setup & Breakdown: Arrange tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and equipment based on event diagrams and client requests.
- Maintenance & Cleanliness: Ensure banquet spaces are tidy and reset after events; assist in deep cleaning as needed.
- Logistics Support: Transport supplies, furniture, and equipment between storage areas and event spaces.
- Collaboration: Work closely with banquet servers, captains, and event planners to ensure smooth operations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock banquet supplies, such as linens, glassware, and décor.
Qualifications
- In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required
- One to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills required
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Requires the ability to read write and speak the English language
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
- Must be able to set up and break down equipment
- Must be able to stand during entire shift
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures
