Responsibilities


  • The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the set-up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting and event spaces

  • Ensures the correct and timely set up of all Banquet Event Order functions

  • Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space and storage areas to include the carpet, walls, walks, doors, windows, etc.

  • Ensures that all banquet areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Vacuums, sweeps, mops, polishes, and wipes areas clean before during and after events.

  • Breakdown after the completion of functions and ensures that all equipment and supplies are stored properly

  • Transport and store tables, chairs, and other equipment

  • The ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules

  • This role requires operating a golf cart as well as a manual work truck

  • This position has varying shifts including late nights, early mornings and weekends

  • Perform other duties as requested by management


Key Responsibilities


  • Setup & Breakdown: Arrange tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and equipment based on event diagrams and client requests.

  • Maintenance & Cleanliness: Ensure banquet spaces are tidy and reset after events; assist in deep cleaning as needed.

  • Logistics Support: Transport supplies, furniture, and equipment between storage areas and event spaces.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with banquet servers, captains, and event planners to ensure smooth operations.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock banquet supplies, such as linens, glassware, and décor.


Qualifications


  • In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required

  • One to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills required

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

  • Requires the ability to read write and speak the English language

  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly

  • Must be able to set up and break down equipment

  • Must be able to stand during entire shift

  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures
