Job summary

Invited Clubs is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to oversee all banquet operations, ensuring flawless event execution and outstanding member experiences. You will manage setup, service, and breakdown while coordinating with the banquet team, event sales, and clients.

The role requires staff development, adherence to Invited service standards, and proactive problem-solving to accommodate changing guest needs.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant, banquet, or club-related field within the food & beverage industry.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and performance-manage banquet service personnel according to club procedures.
  • Facilitate service training to maintain Invited standards and drive service excellence.
  • Coordinate with the Event Sales Director to ensure proper staffing and seamless execution of private functions.
  • Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and daily logs to confirm room setups match event details.
  • Oversee timely service of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards.
  • Record relevant information in the MOD log for the next shift.
  • Provide a warm welcome by greeting members and guests by name and meeting their needs throughout the event.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and uphold sanitary conditions as outlined in Service standards.
  • Interact professionally with members and guests, accommodating changes and last-minute requests.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

The Banquet Supervisor oversees all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring smooth execution of events and exceptional member and guest experience. Responsibilities include managing setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions while maintaining Invited service standards and coordinating with the banquet team, event sales, and clients.

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to the Banquet Manager, Banquet Director or Director of Food & Beverage
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop, and performance‑manage banquet service personnel according to club procedures.
  • Implement and facilitate service training to maintain staff aligned with Invited standards, driving service excellence, member satisfaction, and retention.
  • Communicate with the Event Sales Director to ensure proper staffing and seamless execution of private functions.
  • Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and daily logs to confirm room setups match event details and make necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee timely service of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards.
  • Monitor events to ensure food is served on time, collect payment, and complete accounting paperwork.
  • Manage room breakdown and setup based on event details outlined in the function book.
  • Execute opening procedures for the banquet department and ensure the room is prepared according to event standards.
  • Record relevant information in the MOD log for the next shift.
  • Provide a warm welcome by greeting members and guests by name and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas, refill and stock supplies, and uphold sanitary conditions as outlined in the Service standards.
  • Interact professionally with members and guests, accommodating changes and last‑minute requests as needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Additional Duties
  • Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Represent the management team by supporting and enforcing policies while upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Maintain professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
  • Promote and follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain required certifications relevant to the role.
  • Address and resolve challenges using available resources and collaborate with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
  • Support overall team efficiency by collaborating and contributing to the club’s goals.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant, banquet, or club‑related field within the food & beverage industry.
Preferred
  • Food Handlers’ Certificate, Alcohol Safety, TABC Certification, CPR Certification, Food Safety Program, and HFWACT.
  • Completion of Food Safety and Alcohol Safety training.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
  • Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.

Work Schedule
