Job summary

Hilton San Diego Bayfront is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to join our team. The role supports setup, breakdown, and upkeep of banquet spaces for events, delivering polished guest experiences with cheerful service.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of banquet experience and are flexible to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You’ll collaborate with teams to ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficient operations for each event.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of banquet experience.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings and graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to set up, arrange, and break down banquet rooms and equipment per event specifications.
• Ability to transport furniture and equipment while ensuring proper storage.
• Commitment to following hotel cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Delight our guests: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special
• Prepare banquet space with care: Complete table and chair set up according to the requirements for each function
• Ensure a clean and inviting space: Clean and prep banquet rooms, ensuring all walls and surfaces are spotless
• Monitor the room: Keep the banquet area clean, and promptly address spills, discarded service items, and other issues to ensure an exceptional guest experience
