Job summary

Q Center is seeking a Banquet Set-up Houseperson to support our events in the Midwest venue. The role covers set up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting spaces, with an as-needed schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Starting rate for this position is $18/hour. Benefits include a 401(K) with employer match and Employee Meals. Preferred candidates have hotel or related field experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order functions; including Audio Visual setup.
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space and storage areas.
• Breakdown after completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• Transport and store tables, chairs and other equipment.
• Refresh meeting rooms as needed.

Education & Experience

• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy work - exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
