Job summary

Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel, a 4-star Marriott property, seeks a Banquet Houseperson to set up, maintain, and break down banquet spaces per event orders. You will support banquet servers and event staff, ensuring rooms are clean and properly arranged for guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, housekeeping, or event setup experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and pre-function areas according to event orders and diagrams.
• Move, lift, and arrange tables, chairs, staging, podiums, dance floors, and other equipment as required.
• Ensure linens, skirting, and table settings are clean and properly placed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all banquet and storage areas.
• Assist banquet servers and event staff with service setup and breakdown as needed.
• Refresh meeting rooms during events, including water service, resetting tables, and removing trash.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment is stored properly and safely after each event.
• Maintain communication with the Banquet Captain, Manager, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
