Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking staff for banquet setup at the DoubleTree Hotel and Suites by the Galleria in Houston. You will set up rooms, AV, dance floors, and stages per the event order, and work with F&B managers to meet expectations.

Responsibilities include breakdown, cleaning, and organization of equipment, plus adherence to room-care schedules for site visits and walk-throughs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Able to lift 50–60 pounds to move tables and stacks of chairs.
• Previous banquet or catering event setup experience is a plus.
• Flexible availability to work AM, PM, mid-shifts, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up room, audio visual, dance floor and stages according to the banquet event order.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage Manager, Banquet Captain and Catering Sales Manager to ensure event setup meets expectations.
• Break down and clean all meeting rooms after events and store/organize tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment.
• Follow the cleaning schedule to keep meeting rooms presentable for site visits and walkthroughs.
