The Marcus Corporation in Lake Geneva, WI seeks a Banquet Set Up team member to prepare event spaces, set tables, clean carpets, and ensure guest-ready spaces for memorable events. You will operate in a 24-hour, high-energy environment supporting a premier resort experience.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality or customer service exposure, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 100 lbs, with strong attention to detail and a polished professional presence.

Responsabilités

• Set up banquet spaces per BEO and provide contract-based service.
• Maintain and coordinate banquet rooms, setup, upkeep, and cleanup.
• Keep banquet areas clean, including carpet vacuuming.
• Work in a 24-hour operation with varied schedules.
• Assist in serving guests and understand event setup needs.
• Organize linen room and supplies; attend trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

As a Banquet Set Up team member at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, your role is to prepare event spaces by setting up tables and chairs, cleaning and vacuuming carpets, and ensuring everything is guest-ready for a memorable event.

What will you be doing?

• Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets.
• Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
• Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies, attending mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up as well as have basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times
• Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certification.
• Previous hospitality/customer service experience and a high school diploma are preferred.
