Overview

The Country Club of Virginia is searching for a Banquet Set-up Attendant to assist with the set-up and breakdown of rooms for banquet functions ensuring the presentation meets the established standards. Assists with cleaning rugs, carpets, and floors while maintaining a spotless and safe environment.

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain a spotless and safe environment for members and staff
  • Sweep, mop, and wax floors
  • Clean rugs, carpets, and floors
  • Inspect carpets and tablecloths for spots before setting up for functions
  • Wipe and polish tables, podiums, and pedestals before setting up for functions
  • Inspect tables and chairs to ensure stability
  • Clean radiators and pianos and polish fireplace brass
  • Replace light bulbs
  • Dust blinds, shutters, and vents
  • Set-up and breakdown rooms for banquet functions
  • Provide audio equipment (screens, TV/VCR) and tape down cords
  • Attend morning planning meetings
  • Sweep outside of entrances & dust chandeliers for cobwebs
  • Wash windows, mirrors, door panels, and sills
  • Report any damaged or stained furniture or accessories to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Maintain clean, organized storage areas for equipment and supplies
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; and one year related experience or training.
