Job summary

Waterford Hotel Group is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to set up and break down function spaces for meetings and conferences. You will move chairs, tables and equipment, arrange linens, and ensure the room meets the Banquet Event Order while coordinating with managers and supervisors for smooth operations.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well in teams or independently, with flexible hours supporting a fast-paced hotel environment and the opportunity

Banquet Houseperson Overview:

Baquet Houseperson is an important role in our Banquet Department. The banquet houseperson will ensure all our events including meetings and conferences are successful. This role is responsible for manually setting up and breaking down all the hotel function space. Banquet Houseperson collects, and services all banquet space in accordance with the Banquet Event Order (BEO). You will work closely with Manager and Supervisors to report any room deficiencies all the while ensuring the client/guests needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up all meeting rooms and functions space
• Breaking down and putting all necessary items away properly
• Transporting tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment to the banquet rooms.
• Replenishing meeting rooms as needed
• Handling any last-minute changes or requests by the client.
• The Banquet Set-up position will do the setup of chairs, tables and equipment
• Must be able to place linen on tables, position chairs, move podiums, etc.
• The ability to work with equipment and ensure the equipment is always in good working conditions.
• Must be able to maintain all F&B storage areas, including the banquet corridors, within the center.
• The ability to review and ensure compliance of all room set-ups in accordance with company standards.
